From municipality to government reform …<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The table with the individual parts of the district shows the development from the former lordship of Staufenberg to the so-called Stabsgemeinde, to the “Samtgemeinde” and to today’s municipality with a local constitution. Until 1871, the municipality of Durbach consisted of the individual staffs (Stabsgemeinden) “Heimburg”, “Bottenau”, “Obernesselried-Illental” and “Gebirg”. 1871 Obernesselried-Illental separated from and together with Unternesselried formed the municipality of Nesselried. 1935 Bottenau separated and formed an independent municipality with Herztal. The individual municipalities were then dissolved in this context and Heimburg along with Gebirg were merged into one district. As of  1.1.1973, Ebersweier became part of Durbach in the context of local government reform.  A locality constitution exists, but only Ebersweier has a municipal administrator and a municipal advisory council. <\/p>\n

The stone on the right is a municipal boundary stone between Durbach and Ebersweier and shows the respective municipal coats of arms (chalice\/cross).

The picture panels show the signing of the integration agreement between Durbach and Ebersweier, the meeting between Federal Chancellor Helmut Kohl and French President Mitterand at the Ritter Hotel and the signing of the partnership agreements with our partner municipalities.<\/p>

The ship contract of Elias Schrade from Durbach for a passage to America  (emigration due to poverty and hunger), especially interesting is \u00a7 16 of this contract.<\/p>\n
