The magnificent half-timbered house, a former vineyard from the 18th century, is located in the centre of the village (Talsstraße 36). It provides insights into the village life of the past and portrays the livelihoods of the valley’s inhabitants from then until today. Traditional tools, costumes and utensils testify to the life and work of the farmers, winegrowers and villagers in the past.
The main building houses the reception and the tourist office as well as the historical wine cellar, on the ground floor a collection of minerals and many typical objects and pictures of local history, on the 1st floor the room for special exhibitions, traditional costumes, a room with sacred objects, a sewing room and in the attic everything about historical viticulture. In the wine cellar with its old barrels and equipment you can also watch historical films.
