Motif above: Disc created from various residual motifs: head of John the Evangelist; smaller head of God the Father; a hand; an allegorical woman with beehive; slaughter of an ox; shield with silver horn and gold star in blue as well as the inverted double P.
Motif below: Pope (left) and bishop with church model (right) between coat of arms with key and fish. Fields 2 and 3 St. George, bull’s head in the heart shield, headpiece: crucifixion of St. Andrew on the left, St. George slaying the dragon on the right. Inscription: “Da Land Schaffhuse ANNO DOM .605.”
The inscription was probably added later. The coat of arms also features a section of another disc on the right-hand side next to the key.
